History

2014

Launched as a volunteer initiative producing body armor for participants of the Revolution of Dignity. Established the RAROG Manufacturing.
With the onset of the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO), began mass production of body armor and tactical gear for military forces. Implemented a project to armor anti-aircraft systems for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

2015

Introduced the first serial models of modular body armor. Launched a new Ukrainian military gear brand – RAROG Tactical Gear.

2016

Automated production processes. Developed the “Khizhak” (Predator) machine gun system and a polymer ammo belt. Began working with government defence procurement programs.

2017

The Plastun modular body armor wins field testing in the Armed Forces and is chosen as the new standard armor system. The National Guard’s Rapid Response Brigade is equipped with RAROG modular body armor.

2018

Special Operations Forces of Bulgaria order body armor and tactical gear by RAROG. AFU adopts tactical and protective gloves developed by RAROG Manufacturing.

2019

The company wins the prestigious Sikorsky Challenge with its project for a new logistics system for Kalashnikov-type infantry machine gun ammunition.

2020-2021

Becomes one of the market leaders, supplying most Ukrainian law enforcement agencies. Launches two new production facilities in the Kharkiv region and Zaporizhzhia.

2022

Forced relocation of production to the Lviv region. Relaunch and expansion of operations. Fulfilling state defence contracts, the RAROG Manufacturing produces tens of thousands of modern body armor units, 600,000 tactical and protective gloves, and hundreds of thousands of other gear items for the Defence Forces of Ukraine.

2023

RAROG Tactical Gear becomes a market leader in the domestic commercial sector (over 50% of civilian body armor market). Launches a new line of demining gear. Acquires a design bureau, invests in production, and establishes RAROG Aerospace – a developer and manufacturer of drones and peripheral equipment. At the end of 2023, the «RAS 7-01» unmanned aerial system is officially adopted by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

2024

Commission of a specialized fabric production plant for military applications (2,800 sq.m). Construction has begun on a new facility for the production of armor plates and other ballistic components. Rarog Aerospace is expantion its manufacturing capacity and delivering unmanned aerial systems under the state defence procurement program. RAROG Manufacturing ranks among the top three suppliers of gear and apparel for Ukrainian Defence Forces.

2025

RAROG Tactical Gear launches a new line of body armor and tactical equipment. Acquires a specialized site and begins construction of an ammunition production facility – RENDROCK UKRAINE. Private demining operator EOD&RC confirms qualification and receives 5-year licenses for all types of demining activities. Begins demining operations in the Kharkiv region. The first-line demining kit developed by URIDT is officially approved for use in the Armed Forces. Specialized UAV munitions from RENDROCK UKRAINE are codified. A dedicated military clothing factory is launched and enters into operation.

Corporate Social Responsibility

We are deeply committed to supporting our country and fellow citizens. At the onset of the full-scale invasion, together with business partners and volunteers, we co-founded the Lviv Defence Cluster.

UDI Group companies have financed the renovation of the rehabilitation department for Ukraine’s defenders at the Lviv Regional Veterans Hospital.

We provide ongoing support to TYTANOVI Rehab, a sports and rehabilitation center for veterans. 

We also fund professional psychological support for children who lost their parents in the war.

“Children of War” Project. As part of this initiative, a specialized rehabilitation center for war-affected children will be established at the Okhmatdyt Children's Hospital in Kyiv.

Veterans of the Russo-Ukrainian war are actively employed across our group of companies. We launched the “Heroes Among Us” social project to help HR departments and workplace teams across Ukrainian companies better adapt to the return of servicemen and servicewomen from the front.
